GoodEats

Help with your next meal.

Report a problem, ask a beta question, or tell us what could work better. GoodEats beta support currently runs through TestFlight.

Send beta feedback

  1. Open the TestFlight app on your iPhone.
  2. Select GoodEats and tap Send Beta Feedback.
  3. Describe what you were trying to do, what happened, and the restaurant or item involved. Add a screenshot if it helps.

Include the GoodEats build number shown in TestFlight, your iOS version and whether the issue happens every time. Review screenshots and remove personal or medical details before sending.

Your feedback goes to the GoodEats team through Apple. There is no separate public support email for this beta. See Apple’s TestFlight privacy information for how beta feedback and diagnostics are handled.

Try these first

The assistant cannot connect

Check your internet connection, then try again. On iPhone, confirm that optional AI consent is enabled under You → Permissions & privacy. On the website, select the consent checkbox before submitting a question. If the service is unavailable, source menu browsing can still be used when the catalog is reachable.

The assistant asks which restaurant I mean

Include a Canadian restaurant name and what you want to compare, for example “Higher-protein sandwiches at Tim Hortons.” The assistant uses available source records. It may ask for more detail when the request cannot be matched.

I reached the daily AI limit

The assistant has daily usage limits. Requests that fail can also count toward a limit. Try on a later day; you can still browse source menus. Reinstalling the app or resetting your profile is not a supported way to reset the limit.

Nearby restaurants are missing

Nearby search requires location permission and Apple Maps results in Canada. Check iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → GoodEats. You can also browse a chain directly without enabling location. A nearby place does not guarantee that its menu has been collected.

My profile or saved meals are missing

The beta keeps your profile and saved meals on your device; it does not sync them between devices. “Reset local profile” removes those answers and saved meals. There is no cloud profile recovery in this build.

Camera scanning or voice input does not work

Camera and photo scanning are previews in this build, and voice input is not active. Scanning does not capture or upload a real photo. You can enter item names manually to explore the labelled local preview.

A build is unavailable or has expired

Open GoodEats in TestFlight and check for an available update. Apple manages beta installation and build availability. If no build is offered, access may be limited or the previous build may have expired.

Menus, portions and nutrition

Source coverage varies by Canadian chain. An empty menu or an unavailable nutrient means the source record is missing; it is not a zero value. Records are dated and may not match today’s local menu.

If a record seems wrong, send the restaurant, item name, listed portion and source or retrieval date through TestFlight. Include a link to the current official Canadian information when available.

Confirm current ingredients, allergens, portions and availability directly with the restaurant. GoodEats cannot verify allergy safety or provide medical advice. Generated food pictures are labelled AI illustrations, not restaurant photos.

Privacy questions and requests

Read the GoodEats privacy policy for local storage, optional AI and service records. To contact the team about your data, use Send Beta Feedback in TestFlight and identify the message as a privacy question or deletion request. Do not send passwords, access tokens or unnecessary health details.

To clear onboarding answers and saved meals on your iPhone, open You → Reset local profile. To stop future AI requests, switch off AI consent under You → Permissions & privacy. A local reset does not remove server authentication or usage records.
